Unite to Redefine Music
David Bartholomé a.k.a. Sharko is a Belgian indie singer-songwriter. In 1999, Sharko released his debut album “Feuded” and gained further recognition by opening for acts such as Muse and Paul Weller among others.
Following this early success, Sharko continued to evolve musically. The 2001 album ‘Meeuws2’ (produced by Mike Mogis) featured the notable underground hit ‘I Went Down’, while the 2003 release ‘Sharko III’ solidified his status in France. In 2006, Sharko returned in force with Molecule, which topped the iTunes French indie chart. He remained active internationally, touring in Europe, Great Britain, Canada, and New York. In 2016, Sharko released “You Don’t Have To Worry”, followed by an intimate home concert tour, which led to the acoustic album “Hometour Acoustic Woaw” (2017). Bartholomé continued releasing music with albums “Glucose” (2019), “We Love You David” (2022) and “10” (2024) and keeps on performing for fans today, maintaining his connection with a loyal audience.

Sharko Today – the legacy
Sharko, to this day, traces his path on the indie music scene. His music has unique touches of rock, pop, acoustic, electro-pop, creating a dynamic and engaging sound that resonates with a broad audience.
With a strong fan base and a reputation for captivating live performances, Sharko remains a significant presence in the indie music world. Their music continues to reach new listeners, and they currently have 87K monthly listeners on Spotify, proving that their influence is still growing.
Before the enthusiastic reactions and at the peak of that tour, Sharko (now mainly David Bartholomé) releases the album “Hometour Acoustic Woaw” in 2017, promoting it only through real home tours. The album contains a lighter “reggae” version of “When I Was Your Age” (an ode to Justin Bieber) which finally gains airplays in Belgium. The hometour resumes in 2018.
