Cultivating a Spiritual Experience with NeuroVizr
Simon Perrott, NeuroVizr Product Manager & CTO
An opportunity to explore…
How often in your busy life do you pause, close your eyes and let things happen?
If you’re like me, then even when you do take a break your mind is urging you onto the next task; responsibilities & never-ending news don’t naturally lead us towards profound spiritual experiences.
When I’m seeking spiritual connection, I like to take a walk in the forest and feel nature but this isn’t always possible, especially when I have a lot of work or travel, and that’s when I reach for my NeuroVizr.
The light & sound signalling in most NeuroVizr sessions are able to quiet my self-talk but the sessions I like most for transcending my usual thinking patterns are those with a lot of novelty and unexpected colorful patterns. Many of these sessions are grouped into the Spirituality collection and have a level 2 or level 3 rating due to their increased demand on our attention.
When I have more time, and seeking a deeper connection to myself, I usually choose the
sessions in the Meditation collection, particularly the Mystic session and the session
based on the Tibetan meditation tradition. These feel gentler to me because the light
signalling is more structured and based on traditional chanting soundscapes. I can often
continue to savour my newfound connection even after returning to ‘normal’ life.
Whether the session is from the Spirituality or the Meditation collection, I recommend you
give yourself 10-15 minutes to tune into what’s going in your body and your mind after the
session ends. I find it’s this post-session time that transforms the NeuroVizr session into
something meaningful where I have insights and new feelings of oneness.
Pro tip: keep a journal nearby to draw your spiritual insights.
Thanks to the NeuroVizr I no longer need a 30 day pilgrimage to an ancient temple to connect to a different way of feeling ;)
Wishing you all profound and spiritual experiences!
